Help for vendors
How joining, verification, bidding and the win fee work on Quoteable.
Joining
- Vendors join by invitation. Tell us about your business and we'll be in touch. Ask to join →
- If a recruiter sent you a link, it opens your setup directly.
Setting up
- Setup asks, in order: your business details; the service types you offer and the area you cover; your Google Business Profile (optional); your licence and insurance, where your service types need them; the job types you take; and a card on file for win fees.
- Your card is only charged when you win a job.
Stage 1: the pre-screen
- You can bid once you pass six automatic checks. All six must pass.
- Phone verified by text Verify your phone number with the code we text you.
- Email confirmed Type the confirmation code we email to your sign-in address.
- Business name Add your business name under Settings › Business.
- Website is live Enter your business website; the check confirms it loads.
- Email domain matches website Your sign-in email must be at your website's domain — no Gmail, Hotmail or a different domain. Sign up again with an address at your domain if it isn't.
- Google listing with at least one review Link your Google Business Profile; it needs at least one review.
- Settings › Verification shows each check, whether it passed, and how to fix it. Open Verification →
Stage 2: verification
- An admin then verifies your insurance, and your licence where your service type requires one in your province or state.
- Until then, a job you win is a conditional award: the buyer can pick you and message you, and the booking — and your win fee — are confirmed once verification is complete.
Bidding
- You can bid up to 3 times on a job: your first bid plus 2 refinements. Each new bid must be at least $5 below your last.
- If the buyer changes the job's scope after you've bid, you get one re-price that doesn't count toward the limit.
- You don't have to beat the lowest bid.
- Your first bid says what's included. Later bids keep it unless you change it.
- Buyers see bids ranked by price and Google rating.
- Buyers stay anonymous until they pick you. You then message them in a private thread on Quoteable.
The win fee
- You pay a fee only on jobs you win. A job's fee is shown on its bid form before you bid; it depends on the service type and the size of the job.
- New vendors get a discount on their first wins. The fee shown already includes it.
- If the buyer cancels after picking you, your fee is refunded.
Staying in good standing
- After each job, log how it went. If too few of your won jobs end completed, bidding on your account is paused until an admin reviews it.
- Your Performance page shows your record. Open Performance →
- Keep your licence and insurance current. We warn you before one expires.
Notifications
- New jobs in your service types and area reach you by email and by text. You can turn either off under Settings › Notifications.
- When you win, we tell you in the app, by email and by text.
